Vittoria Terreno T60 Mixed Gravel Endurance Tyre

More Grip for Rougher Gravel Without Going to a Full Mud Tyre.

The Vittoria Terreno T60 is a good middle-ground gravel tyre. It has more bite and casing protection than a fast file tread, but still rolls well enough for rides that include sealed roads and hardpack.

We’d use it for rough gravel races, long back-country rides and bikepacking routes where the surface can change from smooth shingle to loose rock without much warning. The stronger casing adds a little weight, but it is worth having if punctures and sidewall damage are a bigger concern than saving the last few grams.

Made for Mixed Gravel

The V-shaped tread provides a consistent feel as you move from the centre of the tyre onto the shoulder blocks. That makes the T60 predictable through corners, particularly when there is loose gravel sitting over a hard base.

Siping across the tread creates extra edges for grip, while the spacing between the blocks prevents the tyre from feeling like a full off-road tread on firmer surfaces.

A Tougher Casing for Longer Rides

Vittoria’s Endurance Casing includes reinforced nylon sidewalls and an anti-puncture belt beneath the tread.

This is not the lightest casing in Vittoria’s range, but it is the one we’d rather have when riding over sharp gravel or heading somewhere a puncture could mean a long walk. The Graphene-powered Endurance compound is also made to handle plenty of kilometres without giving away too much grip in wet or dry conditions.

Choosing Between 40c and 45c

Choose the 40c if you want a quicker feel and your rides include plenty of sealed road, smooth gravel or faster racing.

We’d choose the 45c for rough gravel, bikepacking and longer rides. The extra volume lets you run a little less pressure, improving comfort and grip. Just check that your frame, fork and mudguards have enough clearance.

Who Is This Tyre For?

The Terreno T60 suits riders whose gravel routes are too rough for a fast, shallow tread but do not regularly involve deep mud.

It works well for mixed gravel races, long-distance events and bikepacking. If most of your riding is on sealed roads or smooth hardpack, it is probably more tyre than you need. If your usual conditions are wet, muddy or very loose, choose something with a more open and aggressive tread.

Perfect For

✔ Mixed-surface gravel riding
✔ Rough gravel races
✔ Long-distance gravel events
✔ Bikepacking
✔ Hardpack and chunky gravel
✔ Loose-over-hard trails
✔ Gravel e-bikes
✔ Riders wanting extra casing protection

Our Thoughts on the Vittoria Terreno T60

The T60 makes sense for riders who have tried a fast gravel tyre and found its limits once the surface becomes loose or rocky. It gives you more tread and a stronger casing without feeling excessively slow on the easier parts of the ride.

For most fast mixed-surface riding, we’d start with the 40c. The 45c is the better choice for rougher routes, heavier riders, bikepacking loads or anyone who values comfort and control more than a slightly sharper feel.

There is a small weight penalty for the reinforced casing, but we think that is a fair trade on real-world gravel. A few extra grams are quickly forgotten; repairing a cut sidewall in the middle of nowhere is not.
