Why Riders Like the Avinox M2S System

With up to 150Nm available in Boost Mode, the Avinox M2S system provides extra assistance for steep climbs, technical switchbacks and loose terrain while maintaining smooth, controllable power delivery.
Up to 1,500W Peak Power
Boost Mode provides additional power when you need it most, helping maintain momentum on steep climbs and technical trail features without overwhelming the bike's natural handling.

The Avinox DPC100 top-tube display provides ride information, battery status, navigation and motor settings through a bright, easy-to-read touchscreen that's protected within the frame.
Smartphone Connectivity
Use the Avinox app to customise assist modes, install wireless firmware updates, review ride data and personalise the system to suit your riding style.
Lightweight Drive System
The compact Avinox motor helps keep overall bike weight lower than many traditional full-power eMTBs, contributing to responsive climbing, confident descending and agile trail handling.

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of riding is the Whyte Karve designed for?
The Whyte Karve RSX is a full-power trail and enduro eMTB with 160mm of suspension travel and the Avinox M2S drive system. It's designed for riders looking for one bike that can confidently tackle technical climbs, flowing singletrack and steep descents.
Its geometry and suspension make it particularly well suited to Canterbury riding, from the Port Hills and Craigieburn to Hanmer Springs and longer backcountry adventures where climbing efficiency and descending stability are equally important.
Does the Whyte Karve have adjustable geometry?
Yes. The Karve features a flip-chip that allows you to switch between High and Low geometry settings.
The Low position slackens the head angle by 0.6° and lowers the bottom bracket by 8mm for increased stability on steeper descents. The High position offers greater ground clearance for technical climbs and rocky terrain.
The frame also uses ZS56 headset cups, making it compatible with many aftermarket angle-adjustable headsets.
Does the Karve RSX include RideWrap protection?
Yes. Every Karve RSX comes with factory-installed RideWrap protection covering approximately 85% of the frame.
This helps reduce paint damage from stones, trail debris and everyday riding, while saving the cost and time of having a protection kit fitted after purchase.
How does the Quad-Link 4 suspension perform?
Whyte's Quad-Link 4 suspension is designed to provide traction, support and control across varied terrain.
The suspension remains sensitive over smaller bumps while offering increased support through the middle and end of its travel, helping the bike stay composed on larger impacts. Lower anti-squat characteristics also improve traction when climbing loose or technical trails by allowing the rear suspension to remain active while pedalling.
