Shimano Dura-Ace Di2
Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 provides electronic shifting through a 2 × 12-speed drivetrain. The shift controls communicate wirelessly with the system, while the derailleurs draw power from the central Di2 battery.
The 52/36T chainrings provide plenty of gearing for faster riding, while the 11–34T cassette offers a useful lower gear for longer climbs. It is a practical combination for a race bike that will also be ridden on hilly training routes.
Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes and 160 mm rotors provide controlled braking for fast descents and changing weather conditions.

The AD9 frame has a stated maximum tyre clearance of 32 mm, giving riders the option to choose a wider road tyre for extra comfort and grip. Actual clearance depends on the tyre and rim combination.
Integrated Carbon Cockpit
The Branta integrated carbon handlebar and stem keeps the front of the bike tidy. Stem length and handlebar width vary by frame size, so it is worth checking the supplied dimensions before ordering.

The AD9 has race-oriented geometry. Riders looking for a more upright position or more tyre clearance for rough roads may be better suited to an endurance or all-road bike.
Our Thoughts
The AD9 Team Replica is a serious race bike, but the specification also makes sense for regular riding. Dura-Ace Di2, carbon wheels and a power meter are already included, so there is no immediate need to change major components before getting out and riding.
The 52/36T and 11–34T gearing is a useful combination for New Zealand roads. You retain the gearing for a fast bunch ride while still having a lower option for longer climbs.
Fit is the part we would pay particular attention to. The integrated cockpit looks great, but changing its dimensions is more involved than swapping a conventional stem. Check the size-specific bar width and stem length before ordering, especially if you are between frame sizes.
