Apex Terrain 20" Kids Bike – Blue Breeze
Description

A Capable 20-Inch Bike for Kids Ready to Explore Further.

The Apex Terrain 20 is built for young riders who have outgrown a first pedal bike and are ready for more independence. Its lightweight 6061 alloy frame, 8-speed Shimano gearing and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes give children the control and confidence to ride further around the neighbourhood, on bike paths and on easy gravel tracks.

Finished in Blue Breeze, it has a low stand-over frame that is easy to get on and off, along with an adjustable saddle position to help achieve a comfortable fit as your child grows.

8-Speed Shimano Gearing

The Terrain 20 uses a Shimano Rapidfire Plus 8-speed shifter, Shimano Tourney TX rear derailleur and an 12–32T cassette. This gives young riders a useful range of gears for pedalling comfortably on the flat and managing moderate hills without making shifting complicated.

The 30T chainring and double chain guard keep the drivetrain simple and practical, while 127 mm cranks are better proportioned for younger legs than adult-length cranks.

Hydraulic Disc Brake Confidence

Tektro HD-M275 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors provide powerful, predictable stopping control in wet and dry conditions. Hydraulic braking gives young riders good lever feel and confidence when controlling speed on hills, paths and busier family rides.

Comfortable, Confident Handling

The lightweight alloy frame and fork help keep the bike manageable for young riders. A 600 mm-wide alloy handlebar gives them a stable steering position, while the smooth-rolling 20 × 2.125-inch CST tyres offer comfort and grip for everyday riding.

Who Is It For?

The Apex Terrain 20 is designed for children approximately 120–140 cm tall, generally around ages 6–10. It is a great next step for a rider who is confident pedalling independently and ready to learn how to use gears and hand brakes.

Fit matters more than age, so the rider should be able to stand comfortably over the bike, reach the brake levers and handlebar controls and safely manage the bike at slow speed.

Our Thoughts

The Terrain 20 is a solid step up from a basic kids’ bike. Shimano 8-speed gearing and hydraulic disc brakes give a young rider more control on longer rides, while the low frame and sensible cockpit keep it approachable. It is a good choice for families who want a capable bike that will encourage their child to ride more often and explore a little further.
