The Burgtec UDH Hanger is a durable replacement derailleur hanger for mountain bikes and e-MTBs built around SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger standard.
It is forged and fully machined from 7075 aluminium, providing a precisely finished alternative to the standard composite SRAM UDH. The mounting screw and washer are included, so it is ready to fit to a compatible frame.

Despite the word “universal”, this hanger does not fit every bike. Your frame must be specifically designed around the SRAM UDH standard. Check the frame manufacturer’s specifications or compare the existing hanger before ordering.
Trek bikes that combine ABP suspension hardware with the UDH standard require the separate Burgtec Trek ABP UDH Hanger.
For Hanger-Mounted Derailleurs
The Burgtec UDH provides the mounting point for a conventional hanger-mounted rear derailleur. It can be used with compatible mechanical or electronic mountain bike drivetrains, provided the frame and derailleur are designed around the UDH interface.
SRAM Eagle Transmission Full Mount derailleurs attach directly to a compatible frame and replace the hanger entirely. This UDH hanger is therefore not used when a Full Mount derailleur is installed.
Forged and Machined 7075 Aluminium
Burgtec forges the hanger before fully machining it from 7075 aluminium. This produces a strong, accurately finished replacement for riders who want a machined hanger that can also be colour-matched with other Burgtec components.
The design follows the operating principle of SRAM’s UDH, allowing the hanger to rotate backwards during certain forward impacts. This may help reduce chain jams and drivetrain damage, although no derailleur hanger can prevent damage in every crash.

A spare derailleur hanger is worth carrying on bikepacking trips, race weekends and rides where a damaged hanger could otherwise leave you walking out. This Burgtec version is particularly appealing if you want a properly machined replacement that matches the other hardware on your bike.
Compatibility is the important part. Confirm that your frame uses the standard SRAM UDH interface and check for any model-specific requirements before ordering. If you have a Trek with ABP suspension hardware, choose Burgtec’s Trek-specific version instead.
