Carbon Precision Meets Electric Enduro Capability
The Specialized Turbo Levo 4 EVO Comp 2027 is built for riders who charge hard and want more stability when the trail becomes steep, fast and technical. It pairs a FACT 11m carbon frame with 180mm of front travel, 170mm of rear travel and a component package chosen for proper electric all-mountain riding.
The Specialized 3.1 motor delivers up to 810W of peak power and 105Nm of torque, while the integrated 840Wh battery provides the capacity required for long climbs and repeated descents. SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS Transmission, Maven brakes and GRID GRAVITY tyres complete a capable build for rough natural trails and bike-park laps without an uplift.
Full Power for Steep Terrain
The Specialized 3.1 motor provides plenty of support for steep climbs, technical approaches and elevation-heavy days. Its 810W peak output and 105Nm of torque are delivered progressively, helping the rear tyre maintain traction on loose or uneven ground.
Support levels and motor response can be adjusted through the Specialized app. The MasterMind TCU uses a 2.2-inch high-resolution display for battery information, assistance settings and ride data, and the system also supports Apple Find My.
840Wh Battery and Extendable Range
The integrated 840Wh battery provides the capacity needed for big trail rides. Specialized claims up to five hours of riding when the bike is used with the optional 280Wh Range Extender under its specified test conditions.

FACT 11m Carbon EVO Frame
The FACT 11m carbon chassis reduces weight compared with the Comp Alloy while retaining the strength and stiffness needed for aggressive e-MTB riding. It provides 170mm of rear-wheel travel and uses sealed cartridge bearings through the suspension pivots.
The carbon frame gives the EVO Comp a more precise feel when changing direction or holding a line through rough ground. Internal SWAT storage provides space for a tube, tools and other trail essentials inside the downtube.
180/170mm RockShox Suspension
A 180mm RockShox ZEB Select fork gives the front of the bike the stiffness and support required for steep descents, hard braking and repeated large impacts. Its Linear XL air spring and Delta RC damper provide straightforward compression and rebound adjustment.
At the rear, the RockShox Vivid Select Air shock controls 170mm of travel. The Linear XL air spring helps the suspension remain active over rough terrain, while rebound adjustment and a climb switch allow the setup to be tuned for the rider and trail.
Adjustable EVO Geometry
The Levo 4 EVO allows the head angle and chainstay length to be adjusted. This gives riders meaningful control over the balance between stability and agility without replacing major parts.
A longer and slacker setup suits steep, open terrain where stability matters most. A shorter configuration can make the bike easier to manage through tighter trails and quick changes of direction.
SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS Transmission
SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS provides electronic 12-speed shifting through SRAM’s full-mount Transmission design. It is built to shift consistently under pedalling load, which is particularly useful when climbing technical terrain with motor assistance.
The AXS Pod controller communicates wirelessly, while the derailleur draws its operating power from the bike’s main battery through an integrated connection. There is no separate derailleur battery to remove or charge.
A 10–52T cassette provides the range needed for steep climbs, while 155mm SRAM S1000 cranks improve ground clearance through rocky terrain.
SRAM Maven Braking
SRAM Maven Bronze four-piston brakes are paired with 220mm rotors at both ends. This provides the power and heat management needed to control a long-travel full-power e-MTB on sustained descents.
The strong braking system reduces the effort required at the lever and makes it easier to manage speed through steep or rough sections.
Gravity-Focused Tyres
A Specialized Butcher GRID GRAVITY T9 front tyre provides strong cornering and braking grip. At the rear, the Cannibal GRID GRAVITY T9 is designed to dig in under braking and maintain control on steep, loose terrain.
Both tyres use reinforced gravity casings and tubeless-ready construction. They prioritise grip and casing support over low weight or fast rolling speed, which suits the EVO’s intended use.
Mixed-Wheel Setup
The 29-inch front wheel provides rollover and front-end confidence, while the 27.5-inch rear wheel improves clearance and makes the back of the bike easier to place through tight corners and steep sections.
Specialized alloy rims, sealed-bearing hubs and DT Swiss Elemental spokes provide a durable wheelset for regular hard riding.
Smart Control and Security
The MasterMind TCU provides clear access to assistance modes, battery status and ride data. Through the Specialized app, riders can tune motor support, customise the display, record rides and manage the Turbo system.
Turbo System Lock can disable motor support when the bike is parked, while Apple Find My compatibility provides an additional way to keep track of the bike.
Charging Options
A Specialized 4A charger is included with the bike. The optional 12A, 700W Smart Charger can charge the 840Wh battery from zero to 80% in under an hour under suitable conditions. The 12A Smart Charger is sold separately.

This is not the lightest or quickest-handling Levo in the range. Riders spending most of their time on smoother, flowing trails may prefer the standard Levo 4 with 160/150mm travel. The EVO is the better choice when descending capability and stability take priority.
Our Thoughts
The Levo 4 EVO Comp sits in a useful position between the durable Comp Alloy and the higher-priced EVO Pro. The carbon frame saves around 1.76kg against the alloy model’s claimed weight, while the S1000 AXS drivetrain adds clean electronic shifting without requiring a separate derailleur battery.
The 180mm ZEB and 170mm Vivid suspension provide a substantial step up in support for riders who regularly tackle steep and rough terrain. Maven brakes with 220mm rotors are also well matched to the bike’s speed and capability.
If you mainly ride ordinary flowing trails, the standard Levo will feel lighter and more agile. If your riding includes rough enduro stages, technical backcountry terrain or bike-park laps, the EVO Comp’s extra travel and calmer handling make much more sense.
