The Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo R combines the SuperNatural power of the Levo 4 platform with a lighter, sharper chassis built for riders who value speed, precision and responsive handling.
Its 140mm front and 130mm rear suspension package gives the bike enough control for demanding technical trails without losing the lively feel that sets the Levo R apart from a longer-travel full-power e-MTB.
The result is a bike that accelerates quickly, changes direction easily and feels properly connected to the trail. It still has the motor power and battery capacity for big climbing days, but its real strength is how naturally it carries speed across varied terrain.
The Rally Car of E-MTBs
The Levo R uses the same full-power Turbo foundation as the Levo 4, but its intent is different. The lower-travel chassis, dedicated 29-inch wheels and rally-focused geometry make it noticeably more agile and efficient.
Specialized offers Levo R builds as light as 18.8kg, but that figure applies to the separate Ultralight model. This 840Wh S-Works build has a claimed weight of 21.16kg in size S3, which is still impressively light for a full-power e-MTB with this much battery capacity.

S-Works 3.1 Motor
The S-Works version of the Specialized 3.1 motor delivers up to 850 watts of peak power and 111Nm of torque. That gives it more outright support than the standard Levo R motor, while Specialized’s control system keeps the delivery smooth enough for technical climbing.
Rather than simply delivering a hard surge of assistance, the system monitors rider input and manages the power to help maintain traction. This makes the motor easier to control across loose surfaces, wet roots and awkward low-speed climbs.
840Wh Battery and Configurable Range
The integrated Turbo X2 840Wh battery gives the S-Works Levo R the capacity for long trail rides without compromising its responsive handling.
The optional 280Wh Range Extender increases total available capacity to 1,120Wh and provides up to 4.4 hours of claimed riding time. Actual range will depend on assistance mode, rider weight, terrain, elevation, temperature and riding conditions.

A Specialized 12A Smart Charger is included. It offers multiple charging modes and can charge the 840Wh battery from 0–80% in under an hour when the appropriate fast-charging mode is used.
FACT 11m Carbon Rally Chassis
The FACT 11m carbon frame uses a carbon shock extension, titanium hardware and 130mm of rear-wheel travel. The geometry can be adjusted to suit different terrain and riding preferences, while the side-entry battery design keeps the frame layout tidy.
Internal SWAT storage provides space for trailside repair essentials without needing to load everything into your pockets or riding pack.
The Levo R places the rider in a more forward, centred position than a conventional long-travel e-MTB. This helps the front wheel hold a line through corners and keeps the bike balanced when climbing.
FOX Factory Suspension with GENIE
Up front, the FOX 36 SL Factory fork provides 140mm of travel with a GRIP X damper. High-speed compression, low-speed compression and rebound adjustments allow experienced riders to fine-tune support and control.
The FOX FLOAT Factory rear shock uses Specialized’s GENIE dual-air-spring system. GENIE is designed to provide a supple beginning stroke for traction, useful support through the middle of the travel and greater resistance as the shock approaches bottom-out.
The result is a 130mm rear suspension system that handles rougher terrain better than the travel figure might suggest while retaining the efficiency and response expected from the Levo R.
SRAM XX Eagle AXS Transmission
SRAM XX Eagle AXS Transmission provides precise electronic shifting with a wide 10–52T cassette. The direct-mount derailleur is designed to shift under load, which is especially useful on a full-power e-MTB where rider and motor torque can place significant pressure through the drivetrain.
The AXS Pod Ultimate controller keeps the cockpit clean and allows the button functions to be customised through SRAM’s AXS system.
Roval Traverse SL II Carbon Wheels
Roval Traverse SL II carbon wheels keep rotating weight down while retaining the strength needed for aggressive trail riding. Their 30mm internal width provides a stable base for the 2.4-inch Specialized Purgatory tyres.
Industry Nine Hydra 2 hubs provide fast engagement, helping the bike respond quickly when applying power through technical sections or accelerating out of a corner.

The Roval Control SL RISE cockpit combines the handlebar and stem into a lightweight carbon unit with a 780mm width and trail-friendly rise.

The S-Works Turbo Levo R is not simply a lighter Levo 4. The lower-travel chassis, steeper riding position and lighter components give it a genuinely different character.
It feels quick when accelerating, easy to place through technical sections and more willing to change direction than most full-power e-MTBs. The 840Wh battery also means you do not have to give up useful range to get that sharper handling.
The FOX Factory suspension, Traverse SL II wheels and XX AXS drivetrain are all high-end components, but the frame and suspension layout are what make the biggest difference. If you want full-power climbing support with the ride feel of a fast trail bike, this is one of the most complete builds in the Levo R range.
