Full-Power Assistance, Wireless Shifting and Premium Equipment
The Specialized Turbo Vado 3 EVO 6.0 is a premium full-power e-bike built for commuting, longer recreational rides and exploring beyond smooth city streets.
Its Specialized 3.1 motor delivers up to 810 W of peak power and 105 Nm of torque, supported by a removable 840 Wh battery with up to 150 km of claimed range. A RockShox Psylo suspension fork, wide 2.6-inch tyres and a suspension dropper seatpost provide the comfort and control needed for broken seal, gravel roads and rougher cycle trails.
The 6.0 also adds SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS electronic shifting, a 2.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Quad Lock phone charging, Garmin rear-approach detection and a Digital Keyless Lock System. It is the most comprehensively equipped model in the Vado 3 EVO range.
Specialized 3.1 Full-Power Motor
The Specialized 3.1 motor provides up to 810 W of peak power and 105 Nm of torque. It has plenty of support for steep climbs, headwinds and longer rides carrying shopping or touring equipment.
Its response is based on technology developed for the Levo 4, matching assistance to how hard you are pedalling. This helps the bike feel controlled at lower speeds and gives the power delivery a smooth and natural character.
Assistance levels and motor behaviour can be adjusted through the Specialized app, allowing you to prioritise stronger support or conserve battery power for a longer ride.
The motor system carries an IP67 rating, providing protection for regular riding in wet conditions.
Removable 840 Wh Battery
The Specialized Turbo X2 840 Wh battery provides enough capacity for longer commutes, recreational rides and routes with plenty of climbing. Specialized claims a range of up to 150 km under suitable conditions.
Actual range depends on assistance mode, terrain, rider and cargo weight, wind, temperature and tyre pressure. Riders using higher support levels on steep or loose terrain should expect less than the maximum figure.
The side-entry battery can be removed from the bike for charging indoors, separate storage or to reduce the bike’s weight when loading it onto a suitable e-bike carrier.
For longer trips, the Vado 3 is compatible with the optional Specialized 280 Wh Full Power Range Extender. When combined with the main battery, this provides up to 1,120 Wh of total capacity.
RockShox Suspension and All-Terrain Comfort
The RockShox Psylo suspension fork provides 120 mm of travel on sizes M–XL and 100 mm on size S. It also includes a lockout for smoother roads and cycleways.
Specialized Hemisphere 27.5 x 2.6-inch tyres add grip and cushioning on broken seal, gravel and rougher cycle trails. Reflective sidewalls improve visibility in low light, while reinforced tubes provide additional puncture resistance for everyday riding.
The dropper seatpost makes it easier to lower the saddle when stopping, mounting the bike or descending rougher sections. It also provides 40 mm of suspension movement to reduce sharp impacts through the saddle.
The Vado 3 EVO is more capable on rough surfaces than a conventional urban e-bike, but it is not intended to replace a dedicated mountain bike on technical trails.
SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS Shifting
The SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS drivetrain provides electronic 12-speed shifting without a mechanical gear cable. Its 10–52T cassette gives the bike a broad gear range for faster urban riding and steeper climbs.
Electronic shifting provides a light and consistent shift action, with no conventional gear cable to stretch or require adjustment. The derailleur uses a removable SRAM AXS battery, which needs to be charged separately from the bike’s main battery.
Battery life is generally long enough that charging is not an everyday job, but it is worth including the derailleur battery in your normal pre-ride checks before longer trips.
SRAM Four-Piston Braking
SRAM DB6 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide the control needed for a full-power e-bike of this weight and speed.
They are a worthwhile upgrade for steeper descents, wet-weather riding and trips where the rear rack is carrying additional gear. Their mineral-oil system also makes them straightforward for a properly equipped bicycle workshop to service.
Touchscreen and Wireless Phone Charging
The integrated 2.2-inch colour touchscreen displays speed, assistance mode, battery status and ride information directly in front of the rider. A Turbo Ergonomic Remote lets you change assistance settings without taking your hand away from the grip.
A wireless-charging Quad Lock phone mount is fitted as standard on the 6.0. A compatible Quad Lock MAG phone case or adaptor may be required, depending on the phone being used.
The wireless charger keeps a compatible phone powered during navigation and longer rides without requiring a loose charging cable around the cockpit.
Digital Security and Apple Find My
The Digital Keyless Lock System controls battery access without relying on a conventional battery key. The battery can be released electronically and uses a self-standing design that makes it easier to handle once removed.
Built-in Apple Find My compatibility can help locate the bike through Apple’s Find My network, while Turbo System Lock can disable motor assistance when activated.
These features add useful convenience and security, but they do not replace a strong external lock. We recommend securing the frame and a wheel to a fixed object whenever the bike is left unattended.
Garmin Active Car Detection
Garmin Active Car Detection monitors traffic approaching from behind and alerts the rider through the bike’s display. This adds useful awareness when commuting, touring or riding on open roads.
The system supports rather than replaces normal road awareness. Riders should still check behind before changing position or making a turn.
Equipped for Commuting and Touring
The MIK HD-compatible rear rack carries up to 27 kg and includes integrated elastics. It works with compatible panniers, baskets and selected child-seat systems.
An optional MIK front rack can also be fitted and carries up to 10 kg. The front rack is sold separately.
Full-length alloy mudguards, an adjustable kickstand, anti-slip pedals and a bell are included. The integrated Supernova headlight provides high and low beams, while the rack-mounted Spanninga rear light includes a brake-light function.

At 31.1 kg in size M, the Vado 3 EVO 6.0 is a substantial bike. It is not the best choice if you regularly need to carry it upstairs or lift it onto a high vehicle rack. Riders wanting a lighter and more conventional bicycle feel may be better suited to a Vado SL.
It is also more bike than necessary for short, flat trips on smooth cycleways. In that situation, a standard Vado or lighter Vado SL may provide all the assistance and equipment you need.
Our Thoughts
The Vado 3 EVO 6.0 is not simply the 5.0 with a different drivetrain. The RockShox fork, SRAM AXS shifting, included wireless phone charger, digital battery lock and rear-approach detection make it a noticeably more complete package.
It remains a heavy bike, and riders who do not value electronic shifting, radar or digital security may find the Vado 3 EVO 5.0 provides everything they need for considerably less money.
For someone wanting a premium transport bike with strong assistance, long-range capacity and the technology already integrated, the 6.0 is the standout model. The rack, lights, mudguards and kickstand also mean it is ready for everyday riding without requiring a long list of accessories afterwards.
