Choose the Right Kit for Your Brakes
Hydraulic brake fittings and fluid requirements vary between brands and models. Before ordering, confirm the brake manufacturer, model and whether the system uses mineral oil or DOT fluid. Shimano, Magura, TRP, Tektro, Formula Cura and current SRAM mineral-oil brakes require compatible mineral-oil equipment. Many SRAM, Avid, Hope, Hayes and older Formula systems use DOT fluid.
SRAM Maven, Motive and DB8 brakes use mineral oil and must not be serviced with a DOT bleed kit. Older SRAM and Avid brakes may require standard threaded fittings, while many newer DOT systems use SRAM’s Bleeding Edge fitting.

Brake Fluid Compatibility
Always use the fluid specified by the brake manufacturer. Mineral oil and DOT fluid are not interchangeable and must never be mixed. Keep mineral-oil bleed equipment completely separate from syringes, hoses and fittings previously used with DOT fluid.
